What are veneers and who are they best suited for?
Veneers are a very thin porcelain material that is made by a lab to help change the size, shape, or color of your teeth.
What options do I have for teeth whitening?
You have two options for professional teeth whitening. One is the take-home option, where trays are made for you and you wear the trays while you're sleeping to whiten your teeth at night. The other option is the same take-home method but with a bonus in-office session. In this session, you're chair-side with us, and we apply material on your teeth directly up to three times, allowing you to see the results right away.
What is a smile makeover and what treatments are included?
A smile makeover is for someone who is unhappy with their smile. It can range from addressing just a few front teeth to redoing every single tooth in the mouth. Treatments can include veneers, crowns, a denture held in with implants, dental implants, a full denture, or a full mouth of crowns.
How do you choose the cosmetic dentist that is right for you?
First of all, you have to make sure that you like your dentist. I recommend calling the office and going in for a consultation to meet the doctor. It's important to ensure you both get along, understand each other's views, and that the doctor is able to take your concerns into consideration when doing your smile makeover or making your teeth the way you want them to look.
What is the difference between veneers and crowns?
A very good question; a lot of people ask. I like to describe a veneer as almost like a contact lens—it's that thin for your tooth. A crown, on the other hand, is more like a helmet. It covers everything and encompasses your whole tooth. If you don't like the size, shape, or color of your front teeth, a veneer would be the best option. If a tooth is broken or maybe more than half or three-fourths of it is missing, a crown would be the better option.
