Meet Dr. Koilpillai

Dr. David Koilpillai was born in India and came to the United States as a very young child along with his family. He was raised in Takoma Park, Maryland and attended elementary and high schools there. He graduated from Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, with his undergraduate degree in Medical Technology. He attended the University of Maryland Dental School and graduated with the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1984. Since then he has earned hundreds of hours of continuing dental education credits in order to keep up to date on the latest advances in dentistry and management.

He has been married for more than 25 years to his wife Hannah. They have a daughter who is currently studying dentistry at the University of Maryland.

He has been practicing dentistry in his Laurel office since 1991. He enjoys practicing General Dentistry, due to the variety of procedures and treatment options he can perform. He especially finds it satisfying to rehabilitate those who have been crippled by their dental condition. He enjoys volunteering his services, such as his trip to an orphanage in Mexico six years ago, where he provided dental services for the children.

Dr. Koilpillai enjoys several activities outside his profession. They are, being active in his church, traveling, photography, riding his motorcycle and outdoor activities including gardening.
